K1 League Season 2's group A has now concluded with TyLoo and fnatic advancing into the playoffs while TFE and ZINCTHAI were knocked out. Group B will begin next week with ETeng, New4, UMX and NR competing for playoff spots. fnatic hasn't had an easy route in the Counter-Strike: Online tournament held in Shanghai as Michael "Friis" Jorgensen suffered from food poisoning during their one month stay in Shanghai which saw them lose three games to TyLoo en route to a 4-5 record.
TyLoo meanwhile have continued strong form in China as they finished the group stage undefeated with a stellar 9-0 record, while TFE managed three wins and ZINCTHAI just two, getting knocked out of the tournament. The two giants, TyLoo and fnatic, won't see action until the end of October as the semi-finals are scheduled to take place on October 30-November 1 while the grand final are scheduled for November 10-11.
Group B will feature the Taiwanese Ultimax Gaming squad, second best Chinese side ETeng as well as two lesser known domestic teams NR and New4 who will be competing for two spots in the playoffs in November. The second group will be played out similarly to group A and will take place on October 2-25, so each team will face one another three times for a total of nine matches each. HLTV.org will of course continue coverage with hot matches for the ~30,000€ league.
